Do you produce cable harnesses that end at device rear panels, control boards or similar locations with a high connector density? Are the connectors so close together at these points that you can no longer reproduce the arrangement with Kitconnect adapters on the assembly board? Then we can offer you a suitable solution with the 3D frame.

The 3D frame consists of a frame made of 20 mm aluminum profiles, vertical support rails with grooves on one or two sides and an assortment of mounting parts in a clearly arranged Raaco CarryLite case.

The 3D frame extends the assembly board into the third dimension. The 3D frame is perpendicular to the assembly board. It is firmly screwed to the Prodboard. We supply it with internal dimensions of 500 x 300 mm and 500 x 200 mm. We are happy to plan other dimensions on request. The Kitconnect adapters are attached to support rails that are screwed vertically to the 3D frame from behind. You can move them to the left or right as required. To save space, you can assemble the adapters upside down, i.e. the mounting plate with the mating connector and the pin splitters with the flat side facing upwards. This allows you to push the carrier rails with the adapters closer together. You can also screw Kitconnect adapters with spacer rollers directly or staggered on top of each other. This allows you to screw adapters directly together in a grid of 6 mm horizontally and 20 mm vertically. You can of course move the adapters continuously on the support rails.

The range of mounting parts includes spacer rollers with lengths of 6 mm and 12 mm as well as screws in all lengths for screwing the adapters on top of each other. It also contains brackets with which you can mount adapters rotated by 90°.

To match the size of the frame, we supply a sturdy white cardboard box to cover the frame on the wiring harness side. The cut-outs for the mating connectors can be easily cut out with a cutter. The cardboard is perforated at the edge so that it fits exactly on the threaded pins in the frame. You can stick a label with the connector designations on the cardboard.
